Days Out With The Kids This Summer

June 29, 2017Lifestyle, Things To Do

Alongside the warmer weather, Summer means one thing… the kids will be off from school! Whilst having more time with your little ones is always exciting, we know how stressful it can be planning enough activities to keep them busy. To spare you from any cries of boredom this year, we’ve put together a little guide of beautiful places which are perfect for fun days out. Comment below if you’ve visited any of our suggestions as we’d love to hear what your experiences were like!

London Zoo (London)

As the world’s oldest scientific zoo, the London Zoo is perfect for creating unique memories that will last little ones a lifetime! With children under three going free and great family offers on all year round, the attraction is as affordable as it is fun. Daily activities include, bird watching, lion viewing and being able to experience the rainforest live. In addition, being that it is located in the heart of the city, the Zoo is surrounded by a number of family friendly restaurants – perfect for a spot of lunch when the kids are tired out from stroking all the adorable animals.

Chessington (Kingston upon Thames)

For little thrill seekers Chessington World of Adventures is the ideal choice! Filled with over fifteen children’s rides, as well as three large play areas, there is something for everyone. Even better, new for 2017, the park has welcomed one of the world’s favourite children’s characters onto its soil – The Gruffalo! Alongside customised Gruffalo rooms, there is a new Gruffalo ride which looks so cute, we’re itching to give it a try!

Blue Reef Aquarium

With branches all over the UK, Blue Reef Aquarium’s are easy to reach no matter where you call home. Each section of the Aquarium’s daily tour begins with small informative talks, which ensure little ones can learn as they watch. The fish feeds are a special sight and we guarantee the whole family will be blown away watching the stunning wildlife. The attraction can also be easily booked out for birthday parties meaning your little pirate or mermaid can experience their special day in unique fashion.

River Dart County Park

With this Summer forecast to be one of the hottest in national history, this beautiful park is the perfect way to experience the great outdoors whilst the weather is beautiful. Set in 90 acres of stunning woodland, when it comes to experiences at River Dart, the options are endless. Whether you choose to camp for several nights or only visit for a day, guests can kayak in lakes, explore dazzling parks, try child-friendly assault courses and much, much more! With so much fun to be had, one trip probably isn’t enough!

Stockeld Park

Open from the middle of July, Stockeld Park hosts its annual Summer Adventures every year. As well as fun adventure zones, the park also offers a number of unique activities perfect for igniting little imaginations. Our favourite is the tree maze, which filled with cool surprises at every turn, is sure to add a dash of magic to any visit. With such cool offers, we’re not surprised it was awarded ‘Best Holiday Park 2015’!
